Welcome Back from the CEO

Goodness me, the summer has gone quickly!
I can’t help thinking back to this time last year when the summer was a blur of risk assessments and preparation for the re-opening of schools in the middle of a pandemic. It was so tough for all of us, making the changes that we were instructed to, in order to prioritise safety, but which took some of the fun and excitement of being in school away.
By contrast, this summer has seen the emergence of a series of really exciting plans and changes that our communities will love!
We are so looking forward to welcoming our wonderful pupils and students back to schools across the trust.
One of the things I am most looking forward to, and I know that all of our headteachers feel the same, is the opportunity to reconnect with parents. We are planning a series of face to face events where we will be inviting parents to meet us and leadership teams in all of our schools.
It has been such a long time since we were able to do simple things like shake hands, chat, share and discuss our ideas and I know that this brings such a lot of benefit to us - some of the most successful things we have done have been as a result of discussions with parents! Please look out for these events – and PLEASE be there if you can!
In the meantime, please enjoy the last days of summer – I understand we’re due for a bit more sunshine at some point – my dogs will be so relieved!
