Digging for Victory
I spent an afternoon at one of our trust schools this week, where the key word was ‘confidence’.
I don’t mean their key word of the week, just everything about the way children talked, worked together, moved and even laughed, said ‘we are confident’. It was superb.
You could tell what an impact having such a positive outlook had on the way they approached their work.
Every child in the room believed they could win – and indeed, they were winning throughout. I left them as they went out to ‘Dig for Victory’ – very sure that they would find it too.
It made me laugh out loud as I left the room, catching Miss Woodward say, ‘Are you ready?’, and the response from one of her lively girls, confidently state: ‘I’m ready for anything!’
Indeed she was!!!!
