Trust Return Letter
Dear Parents / Carers,
As we approach a new stage in the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic is presenting us, I wanted to write to reassure you that all the schools within the Mowbray Education Trust are continuing to work together to provide the very best care, support and learning for all of our pupils.
When school closures were announced, we collaborated to ensure that we could provide continuous care for our keyworker families. All of the staff throughout the Trust have supported all of our pupils by working together throughout term time and the holidays so we could support the frontline battle against this awful virus. We are now working together to adapt to a new situation in terms of schools opening for a number of our children which could happen on June 1st. We will maintain a keyworker childcare hub at a setting within the Trust and we will continue to support families who require support during this difficult time.
Each of our schools face their own particular challenges in terms of available space and staffing. However, we will continue to support each other and our pupils by looking at sharing space and staff as needed. Pupil and staff safety and well-being will always drive any of the decisions we make.
It is likely that there will now be a long period of gradual change where we will all have to be flexible and manage the day to day information that will impact on what is happening in our schools.
We would like to thank you for your support and understanding as we navigate these difficult decisions. We will always keep you as informed as we can do and are very much looking forward to when we can all get back to some sort of normality and have all of the children back with us.
As CEO, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for the support you have shown to our Headteachers. They are working in an unprecedented situation which is extremely stressful. They are also completely determined to prioritise the safety of your children in the face of extreme external pressures.
CEO of the Mowbray Education Trust
