What Gate Duty Does To You

This week I've spent quite a bit of time in the primary schools and was working from one for two days.

It was a joy when I went out to help with gate duty: I realised that so many of the parents of children now in our trust in key stage one, were in my English classes when I taught at King Edward VII School a few years ago. It was like a mini school reunion!!!

Aside from making me feel a little bit old, I felt very much the sense of the whole serving our community thing. In education, we very much reap what we sow. I felt delighted to see my ex students, and all the more resolved to ensure that their children get the very best experience of learning, as they work their way through our trust.
