Mowbray Education Trust has an exciting opportunity for a pro-active, professional and organised HR Officer to join the HR team, for 37 hours per week, all year round.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, a positive work ethic and a keen willingness to learn. It is important that you are self-motivated and can support other team members and all schools within Mowbray Education Trust.

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Summary

The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton.  The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future.

Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.

Role

You will have GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above or equivalent and have good communication and problem-solving skills.

You will have some experience working in a HR environment which is fast-paced and with competing demands.

The role of HR Officer will be a generalist role and will involve working across several different areas including:

  • Recruitment and the employee life cycle.
  • Payroll and Administration.
  • Employment Law and compliance.
  • Employee Relations.

About you

Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a pro-active approach is key to delivering the requirements of this challenging and rewarding, customer focussed role.   You will need to have good organisational and IT skills and exercise professionalism in all aspects of your role.
