We are looking to appoint two cleaners at Sherard Primary school.

We are seeking to recruit two Cleaners to work at Sherard Primary School.

Vacancy 1 – working 12.5 hours per week (2.5 hours per day) Monday to Friday, working 43 weeks per year (38 weeks term time only, plus 5 INSET days; plus 4 weeks (60 hours) to be worked during school closure periods).

 

Vacancy 2 – working 7.5 hours per week (1.5 hours per day) Monday to Friday, working 43 weeks per year (38 weeks term time only, plus 5 INSET days; plus 4 weeks (60 hours) to be worked during school closure periods).

 

The role of Cleaner is an important one within the school to ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the school on a daily basis.

 

Experience of working within a similar role and/ or knowledge of basic cleaning techniques is essential.

 

You must have the ability to follow and understand instruction and relevant procedures and be capable of working on your own initiative.

 

About the Mowbray Education Trust

 

The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton.  The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school; with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future.

 

Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.

 

The MET has a central support services team, with staff managing Estates, Finance, HR, IT and Operations, across our schools.  The central team are based at offices within John Ferneley College in Melton Mowbray.

The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, contributory public-sector pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement:

 

  • Vacancy 1 - Annual Salary: £5,662 - £5,717 per annum (£9.24 - £9.33 per hour) (£17,845 - £18,020 FTE)

 

  • Vacancy 2 - Annual Salary: £3,397 - £3,430 per annum (£9.24 - £9.33 per hour) (£17,845 - £18,020 FTE)

 

  • Local Government Pension Scheme membership
  • 6 weeks paid holiday entitlement rising to 7.10 weeks after 5 years’ continuous service.
