New Vacancy- Learning Support Assistant

We are looking to appoint a temporary Learning Support Assistant to work at The Grove Primary School, to start in the new academic year.

We are seeking to recruit a temporary Learning Support Assistant to work at The Grove Primary School. This position is fixed term until 20th August 2022. The working hours are working 30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30am- 3:30pm term time only plus the 5 INSET days (39 weeks).

This is a varied role, and would suit an enthusiastic, adaptable, and flexible individual.  The successful candidate will reflect our school aim of high expectations of teaching and learning within a nurturing environment, whilst upholding and exemplifying our school values. 

 

You will have an NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.  Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English is essential, or currently working towards. Along with good interpersonal skills, you will be emphatic with children and young people, and be able to work effectively as part of a small team.  Experience of working with children and knowledge of Child Protection and Health and Safety policies are essential. 

About the Mowbray Education Trust

The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton.  The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school; with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future.

 

Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham.

The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, contributory public-sector pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement:

  • Actual Salary £9.81 - £10.00 per hour - £14,166.24 - £14,459.35 per annum (FTE £18,933 - £19,312 per annum)
  • Local Government Pension Scheme membership
  • 5.44 weeks paid holiday entitlement rising to 6.44 weeks after 5 years’ continuous service
