Pupils at Ab Kettleby Primary School and Somerby Primary School enjoyed a wonderful start to the Summer Term with an interactive music session on Tuesday 9th April!
Thank you to Leicestershire Music for teaching our children about the dynamics, tempo, rhythm, riff and texture of music today. The children were mesmerised and engaged and everyone had a brilliant time!

Ab Kettleby Primary School have achieved Platinum Status for their commitment to delivering PE and school sports!
The School Games Mark recognises schools which have excelled in developing competition across their school and into their community. The Platinum Status is the highest award that can be achieved through the scheme, so this is an amazing accolade.

The Grove, Sherard and Brownlow Primary Schools host weekly coffee mornings, to provide support to the community and a chance to speak to some of our lovely teams and visitors.
During the Spring Term, The Grove Primary School welcomed James from MADMAC and Alison Riggall, Link Trustee, to their coffee mornings.

Ab Kettleby Primary School had a very triumphant end to the Spring Term, with our pupils demonstrating some fantastic sporting performances!
They came fourth in the Gymnastics County Final which was held at Oakham Artistic Gymnastics Academy on 20th March.
Our pupils also came first in the Sportsability and Curling competitions at SMB College Group, after competing against eight local schools. They will go on to represent Melton and Belvoir in the County Finals!
Well done to Mrs Brown and the team for your continuous dedication and support.
Some of our primaries took part in the Sky School's Challenge at Melton Theatre!
14 schools performed in the first stages of the challenge on 6th and 7th March, which were then whittled down to 6 finalists. Among the finalists were our Key Stage 2 pupils from Brownlow Primary School, who performed brilliantly!

We are so pleased to see an article from Susan Beasley, our Executive Lead for Governance and Compliance, featured in the Spring edition of Governing Matters!
Our students have been busy taking part in many cross country events this Spring Term, including the Leicestershire Cross Country Championships at Prestwold Hall on Sunday 3rd March!
Well done to our children for representing the school and the Trust in true cross country conditions!

Pupils from Somerby Primary School and Ab Kettleby Primary School enjoyed being Romans for the day on Friday 15th March!
They learned how to build catapults, use weaponry, dress in armour and use marching formations. The children really enjoyed their day, and Queen Boudicca herself complimented them on their manners and listening skills!
On 4th March, the Melton and Belvoir School Sport and Physical Activity Network's Year 5/6 Basketball Finals took place at John Ferneley College! It was fantastic to see so many close and competitive games, with a shoot-out to complete the final!
Well done to all involved, it was fantastic to see our pupils perform with such enthusiasm. The Grove Primary School made it to the semi-finals, with Brownlow Primary School taking the win!

Our CEO, Christine Stansfield, delivered a seminar session at The MAT Show on 28th February on the topic of onboarding new schools!
